Your Spouse IS your EVERYTHING....not your CHILDREN

Hmnnnn...this is truly deep! 

I am sure someone is like No Way! My children come first, before my spouse.

My spouse can cheat on me but my children will never

My spouse can leave me but my children will never

My spouse isn't so much of my blood as my children are.......the list goes on!

So what does the original manual says about this subject?  

Ephesians 5:22-33The Message (MSG)

^22-24 Wives, understand and support your husbands in ways that show your support for Christ. The husband provides leadership to his wife the way Christ does to his church, not by domineering but by cherishing. So just as the church submits to Christ as he exercises such leadership, wives should likewise submit to their husbands.
^25-28 Husbands, go all out in your love for your wives, exactly as Christ did for the church—a love marked by giving, not getting. Christ’s love makes the church whole. His words evoke her beauty. Everything he does and says is designed to bring the best out of her, dressing her in dazzling white silk, radiant with holiness. And that is how husbands ought to love their wives. They’re really doing themselves a favor—since they’re already “one” in marriage.

I don't see the inclusion of children in these passages....Do you?

Especially for us women, we forget that we are only custodian of our children..God owns them and he is able to take care of them much more than we ever can. Our part is to guide and direct them in God's ways, so they can be like their Father, just as we (once children) have been trained to walk in HIS ways...It's a cycle that must not be broken.


So tough question? How do I let my spouse know he/she is my everything?

Both parties must find reasons to be EXCITED about each other daily.

EXCITEMENT puts the spark in your eyes whenever u talk with each other (we all love to see that SPARKLE in our spouses eyes ALWAYS). The look in our eyes tells the onlooker what we are INTERESTED in. 

How often do we show EXCITEMENT about our spouses or have they just become that regular face you see around the house? Do you switch on your EXCITEMENT only when it's time for bedroom "fireworks" or when they surprise you with a gift? Find a reason to be EXCITED about your spouse DAILY.

A show of EXCITEMENT means...you still blow my mind;

A show of EXCITEMENT means...you are still my No. 1 and the best thing that ever happened to me;

A show of EXCITEMENT means...given another chance, I'll still choose you above all them hunks & chics

A show of EXCITEMENT means...you can be really annoying sometimes but I still love you and have no regrets marrying you! (I love this one)

And the list goes on and on...

I have seen some couples crazily excited about themselves and it shows in the way they treat each other, so I know it is possible....It starts with a DECISION to make your Spouse your everything! Respect to my parents in the Lord, teaching us at every available opportunity on working this out, through the WORD.
